"Peace of mind is something that does not come very often or easily for families affected by Alpha-1 deficiency. Now with CSL Behring AssuranceSM, families can have a new sense of security and greater peace of mind knowing that they can continue to have access to their treatment even if they lose their third-party, private insurance."

John Walsh, President and CEO, Alpha-1 Foundation

How CSL Behring AssuranceSM Helps You and Your Family

The CSL Behring AssuranceSM Program is designed to enable people who rely on Zemaira® to continue to receive this vital treatment even if they experience a lapse in third-party, private health insurance. By providing complimentary Zemaira® to qualified people in their time of need, we can offer an added level of security for people who rely on Alpha-1 therapy.

CSL Behring AssuranceSM allows you to build up a reserve of complimentary Zemaira® that you can easily access if you have a gap in your third-party, private health insurance coverage. It’s a protection plan that costs you nothing and only requires that you complete a quick and easy enrollment process to start gaining its benefits.

Eligibility

Anyone who uses Zemaira® and has third-party, private health insurance (for example, an HMO, PPO, or fee-for-service plan) can enroll in CSL Behring AssuranceSM.*

For more information about CSL Behring AssuranceSM and to enroll in the program, visit www.cslbehringassurance.com.

*CSL Behring AssuranceSM is open to individuals enrolled in Medicare Managed Care (for example, a Medicare + Choice or Medicare Advantage plan; not Medicare Part A and Part B). Both Medicare Managed Care and Medicaid Managed Care plans are offered through private companies that contract through the government.
Important Safety Information

Alpha1-Proteinase Inhibitor (Human), Zemaira® is indicated for chronic augmentation and maintenance therapy for adults with alpha1-proteinase inhibitor (A1-PI) deficiency and emphysema. Clinical data demonstrating the long-term effects of chronic augmentation therapy with Zemaira® are not available.

Zemaira® may not be appropriate for the following adult individuals as they may experience severe reactions, including anaphylaxis: individuals with a known hypersensitivity and/or history of anaphylaxis or severe systemic reaction to A1-PI products or their components, and individuals with selective IgA deficiencies who have known antibodies against IgA.

In clinical studies, the following treatment-related adverse reactions were reported in 1% of subjects: asthenia (fatigue), injection-site pain, dizziness, headache, paresthesia (tingling), and pruritus (itching).

Zemaira® is derived from human plasma. The risk of transmission of infectious agents, including viruses and, theoretically, the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) agent, cannot be completely eliminated.
